REVA Named Top Corporate Supporter at Children’s Hospital Charity Event

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. –  North America’s largest fleet of fixed-wing, air-ambulance jets, REVA, Inc., has completed another year of successful community outreach and charity initiatives, culminating in a Corporate First Place award from Miami Children’s Health Foundation, and the one-day hospital bill for a specific patient being paid in full, company officials announced this week.

“Because of our unique medical mission, REVA is especially aware of and responsive to the needs of patients, physicians, caregivers, and research institutions that are individually and collectively striving to achieve the same goals that we are – care, cures, and community support,” said REVA’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Recent highlights of REVA’s Charity Initiative include supporting Miami Children’s Health Foundation in a unique effort that focused on the needs of one child in order to benefit many. As a result of REVA’s fund-raising and promotional support, MCHF recognized REVA with its First Place Corporate Support award at the conclusion of a September 5K run-walk community event.

REVA’s charity included a unique combination of both direct financial contributions as well as general leadership and performance before, during and continuing after a day of community fund raising and a 5K run-walk for Miami Children’s Health Foundation last month. “We not only fielded a winning team in terms of the 5K race itself and our pledges, but we also showed our social media muscle,” REVA’s marketing director said.  REVA posted, tweeted, instagramed, snap-chatted, liked, shared – every possible channel to create a global network of support that resulted in T-shirt purchases and pledges.

Team REVA raised $12,000 for MCHF program, ‘Healthier Happier Kids’,” Angie Solis, HR Assistant, said.  That event included a special REVA meet-up with a patient and her family.  Melanie, who is being treated for leukemia, has the unusual dual role of being both a patient and an “ambassador” for Miami Children’s Health Foundation.

“It was amazing to meet Melanie and her family and to be both inspired by her and motivated to do more for others who also face monumental health issues.” – REVA’s Chief Marketing Officer

“That was one of the most heart-warming meetings we have ever had,” said REVA’s Chief Marketing Officer. “It was amazing to meet Melanie and her family and to be both inspired by her and motivated to do more for others who also face monumental health issues.”  As a result, REVA provided $2500 to cover a one-day hospital bill at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for another child.

In the 2014-15 Fiscal Year, REVA’s direct financial support contributed to a wide variety of causes and charities and almost double the amount in in-kind services, including social media outreach, from both the corporation and its 300-member team of physicians, nurses, pilots, and emergency responders and support staffs.
