REVA Expanding Insurance Networks

REVA recognizes the rising costs of air ambulance service, and that is why it has expanded its reach within healthcare provider networks.

“No one knows when a medical emergency will arise,” said Shannon Schell, Chief Executive Officer of REVA, the largest fixed-wing jet air-ambulance service in North America. “When a medical emergency does occur, time and access to world-class patient service are of primary importance. How to pay for transportation should be the least of a patient’s concerns.”

In keeping with its mission to provide skilled and cost-effective service to its patients worldwide, REVA has become a member of repricing networks Multiplan, Zelis, First Health and Three Rivers. REVA is also currently an in-network provider with Humana, which services more than 13 million customers.

By expanding its reach among healthcare provider networks, REVA will create a healthcare safety net for its patients. REVA believes patients and their caregivers should not have to worry about whether the service is in or out of a specific healthcare network. The steps are designed to keep costs down.  This, among other benefit verification procedures, make up a concerted effort to address recent ongoing consumer concern with out-of-network billing practices.

“Patients should not be hit with unexpected expenses when it comes to air ambulance service,” Schell said. “The steps we are taking keep REVA at the pinnacle of customer service in the air ambulance industry.”
