REVA’s Safety Management System was developed in February 2012 using the framework and implementation guides of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
To meet the goals of the SMS mandate, REVA has utilized the FAA’s AC 120-92, FAA “SMS Framework” document and FAA order VS 8000.367. In addition, we have utilized ICAO Doc 9859 SMM, the NBAA’s “prototypical” Safety Program and various ISO and OHSAS standard references to ensure that our program will meet any mandated requirements in the future. While the SMS is currently voluntary, REVA has implemented it as if it were mandated by regulatory agencies.
REVA is dedicated to providing a safe and clean work environment that exceeds all OSHA health and safety requirements. Safety is our number one priority and, in that pursuit, we provide all employees with the tools and training necessary to maintain our outstanding safety record. All employees, contractors, and individuals associated with REVA are required to understand and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Furthermore, all personnel understand that safety starts with each individual, and it is their responsibility to always report safety hazards and to remain informed regarding risk and hazards to which they are subjected. By utilizing risk management and analysis, REVA identifies and controls all hazards and risks that are present in the operation.
