When a patient is critically ill or injured and appropriate care is unavailable locally, air ambulance transport may be medically necessary. • Patients who are not stable enough for commercial air travel due to monitoring or equipment needs
• International medical air ambulance flights or repatriation flights for patients hospitalized abroad who require continuous medical oversight during transport
