Dr. Farcy’s duties will include playing a significant role in the department’s strategic planning and implementation, as well as in its administrative and operational management. He will also be tasked with providing leadership for the department in the absence of Chairman Dr. Robert Levine.

“I am excited to move into the administration of such a distinguished institution,” Dr. Farcy said. “Although I consider myself a hands-on physician, the importance of academics cannot be overemphasized. I have been actively involved in teaching throughout my 20-year career, and I look forward to putting my experience in the field and in the classroom to work in delivering policy.”

Dr. Farcy also serves as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He joined REVA, the largest dedicated fixed-wing jet air-ambulance service in the Americas, in November 2015. Under his leadership, REVA has consistently delivered the finest emergency and critical care to its patients.

“His academic credentials are impeccable,” said Shannon Schell, REVA’s Chief Executive Officer. “Dr. Farcy has brought a wealth of knowledge in emergency medicine and critical-care delivery to REVA. He has overseen and developed an excellent track record in patient care over the past four years. Dr. Farcy has simply ensured that care delivery at REVA is provided the right way. This Academic Appointment is certainly no surprise and well deserved.”
