REVA now offering rapid COVID-19 testing

On the 12th of January 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services issued an order requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 for all air passengers entering the United States (and territories) from a foreign country.

This order will be effective at 12:01 AM on the 26th of January 2021. As a precaution, REVA will implement the requirements on all applicable flights that are dispatched on the 25th of January to ensure a seamless bedside to bedside service.

In response to the new order, should our patients and/or passengers not have access to COVID-19 testing prior to the air ambulance departure date, REVA will offer COVID-19 antigen rapid viral tests as needed. These tests will be administered by our medical team upon arrival at the bedside and they will produce results within 15 minutes.

REVA remains fully committed to ensure service continuity during these unpredictable times. We anticipate additional travel orders will be issued to curb the national COVID-19 infection rates under the new United States administration. REVA will continue to maintain direct communication with the respective government agencies and provide solutions to all future travel orders as they occur.
